Edit & Maria Louisa, representing both of the families, cut the cake they shared at the dedication
Last week, we dedicated two homes in Siler City–the Bacilio/Martinez Family and the Castillo Family homes. Both families have been working so hard for months to finish their sweat equity hours and homeownership classes, and they’re so ready to move in!
Representative Robert Rieves shares a few words of congratulations
We’d like to thank several people who came to these events and spoke eloquently about the meaning of a Habitat home. Thank you to Mr. Thom Iglesworth, one of Chatham Habitat’s founding Board Members. Thom joined us from Greensboro to talk about the impact that CHFH has made on our community over the last 25 years.
We’d also like to thank Chatham County Commissioner Brian Bock, who joined us to welcome this family to their new home. Brian spoke briefly and quoted the movie Life is Beautiful, giving the family a gift of bread, wine, and salt.
Additionally, we welcomed Representative Robert Rieves and Candidate for NC’s 2nd District Clay Aiken, both of whom offered kind words and generous congratulations to the families.
We’re so honored to have such a wonderful community to support our families as they become homeowners, and the dedications are always such a nice way to celebrate that.
Thanks for everyone who joined us, and congratulations to our two new families!!
