ReStore volunteers
Our Volunteers help keep donations moving through, greet customers, run the register, connect with fellow volunteers, and help us price donations.
Typical Tasks

Work with the manager, staff and other volunteers to keep donations moving through our stock room, greet people and run the register, and get donated items priced and ready to hit the floor. You can also help keep store sections stocked and tidy, or assist with customer service by serving as a resource to shoppers on the sales floor.
Why Volunteer with ReStore?

Many of our volunteers come to the ReStore to be with people, stay busy and receive the satisfaction of giving back to the community. They may volunteer for 3 hours a month or as much as 100! We have volunteers aged 14 to 91 years, and there’s always something to do.
*You must be at least 14 years old to volunteer in the ReStore.
If you have not registered for an account on VolunteerHub, please go to chathamhabitat.volunteerhub.com and do so now.

If you are only volunteering on our Construction sites, you do not need to complete this training. This orientation is only for ReStore, and a separate orientation takes place daily on the construction site.

For ReStore orientation training, watch the following video all the way through and answer the questions below to receive credit. You will receive one hour of service for completion of this exercise. If you are unable to access the video for any reason, you may also come to the ReStore at any time to watch the video on our laptop.
You’re all set! Please allow up to 2 business days for your account to reflect the completion of training and ReStore opportunities to become available. If you have any questions or have not seen any reflection on your account, please contact Matt Zornow at mzornow@chathamhabitat.org or 919-542-0794.
We’re looking forward to working with you!
