On March 8th, the Herrera Garica Family celebrated the dedication of their home in Pittsboro. Fernando and Isabel are thrilled to be moving into a safe, affordable home with their three (soon to be four) children. Their home is Chatham Habitat’s 114th to be completed.
The dedication was well attended by neighbors, friends, and family of the homeowners. When Fernando spoke to the audience, he said, “Thank you, thank you to everyone for being here to share this very special and important moment with us. I’m really speechless. I’m full of joy.”
Home dedications are a great time to see how life-changing a safe, affordable home can be for a family. Because their parents will own their home, Fernando, Alejandro, and Penelope are more likely to be able to succeed in school, eventually go on to college, and likely become successful homeowners one day, too. That’s definitely worth celebrating!
P.S. On March 22nd, the Herrera Garcia family welcomed a new member! Baby Isabel arrived just before the family is scheduled to move into their new home. This month is full of new beginnings for this sweet family!
