Work side-by-side with our office staff as we create self-help opportunities for families to own affordable homes, improve their lives, and strengthen their communities. You can join us in the office or work from home.
There are many ways you can help. You can work directly with our partner families, help with special events, read stories to children, bake cookies, act as a translator, pick up our recycling, and much more
Family Services
- Accompany us on visits to applicants' homes
- Tutor children after school at our Community House
- Help out at classes designed to support our partner families in becoming successful homeowners
- Act as a translator for families who do not speak English
- Seek out families who may qualify for a Habitat house and share information and applications
- Help strengthen Chatham Habitat communities through the Homeowners Associations
- Assist with home dedication ceremonies
- Read stories, put on a puppet show, play music, or organize a craft for children and their families in a Habitat community
- Babysit for our partner families as they earn their "sweat equity"

- Hand address and stuff envelopes
- Prepare newsletters for mailing
- Distribute newsletters aound the county
