Faith Partnerships:
Apostles Build

“What is an Apostles Build?”

As a reflection of the Apostles of Jesus,
twelve churches come together to provide the
prayer, labor, and funds needed to partner in a
Chatham Habitat for Humanity home.

Often a church begins a partnership with Chatham Habitat out of a desire to help other people, but soon discovers how working with Habitat benefits the church. Partnership with Habitat. . .
  • Provides a way for churches to engage in ministry with an established Christian housing organization.
  • Provides church members with a hands-on opportunity to put faith into action both locally and globally.
  • Leads many people to grow in their faith and desire to serve God.
  • Provides for important and meaningful connections among Christians.
  • Helps generate a healthy pride within congregations.
  • Gives congregations opportunities to step out in faith and rely on God when the inevitable and unforeseen problems arise.
  • Communicates the message of being a caring and compassionate congregation called to action.
  • Often attracts new members and involves inactive members by providing people with an opportunity to see tangible results of their faith efforts as they work side by side with other people.
  • Gives individuals with a variety of skills the chance to respond to the needs of others. Stirs enthusiasm among members of many congregations who then seek more opportunities for ministry.
